Welcome

This is my artefact website for my third year work from the 307CMC Photography and Digital Imaging 2 module.

The photographical projects that I undertook this were "Moving Pictures" and "Portfolio". The assigment "Moving Pictures" followed on from the presentation on the "Moving Picture: Contemporary Photography and Video from the Guggenheim Collection" book. For my presentation I discussed the works of several urbanscape photographer, including Dan Holdsworth, Gregory Crewdson, Josef Koudelka and Raffeal Waldner.

I went on to produce six pieces in this body of work; three in the style of Sam Taylor Wood's "Soliloquy" series of work and a further three 3D images influenced by Patrick Hughes' "reverspective" body of work, due to the waiting for the return of the other two of the 3D images I have only been able to add the first one to the gallery.

"Reverspective" uses the prinicpal of having the image in a three dimentional form coming out towards you, yet when looking at it you think the image is going away from you. This works particlaly well with corridoors, as you can see in my image. This is how the images is layed out to achive the "reverspective" look:

The second assignment was entitled "Portfolio", where I had to create a portfolio of my university photography work, with 20 images and a minimum of 50% new work. I presented this portfolio in the form of an A2 folder, with 20 high quality prints on fine art paper.
